Description

Carroll Edwards, professor of English at the University of Kansas from 1947-1980, describes his childhood on a homestead in southeastern Colorado before his family moved to Winfield, KS. He discusses his interest in poetry at a young age, the effects of the Great Depression on his family, and his time spent in the Air Corps in San Angelo, TX during World War II. Also covered is the creation of his Modern Drama publication and the Pearson Integrated Humanities program at the University of Kansas.
